The source of my inspiration this week was the work of John William Waterhouse(1849-1917). Though he is often considered a Pre-Raphaelite painter for the technique, his work is more neo-classical in theme. He paints the femme fatale of roman myths, and poems of Keats and Tennyson. His colors are striking expressions of the story of these women. Windflowers is another poetic ode to the beauty of youth. This painting is as fresh as spring and so is its companion colorway. The short repeats will give the knit fabric fresh touches of color.
